http://www.njit.edu/ (2001-present) - More "webmaster" than developer, at NJIT I am responsible for all day-to-day operations of public web services to students, faculty, and staff. I coordinate with a team of system administrators and content developers in the production of web-related material checked into Documentum, our content management system. I report directly to the Executive Director of University Communications. My job provides a large degree of latitude and freedom to explore new web services and apply them to the education enterprise.
Archived Work Example:
http://www.seniorproject.com
(2000-2001, defunct) - "SeniorProject.com is
a marketplace of ideas and project resources
for college students. The site also generates
exposure for college students doing professional-grade
projects that would otherwise be disposed
of by their department after submission. It
was created as a senior project at the New
Jersey Institute of Technology. Points of note: Web site uses extensive ASP
and VBScript. page content is almost entirely
pulled from a database. Hierarchal category
navigation system built entirely from scratch.
Database driven, can support an unlimited
number of categories, sub-categories, and
project entries. User registration integrated
with cookies to allow tracking of session
and registration information. Fully functional
ad management system is in place including
banner ad rotation, tracking, and reporting.
Advertising Media Kit is available for download.
Entire site was built in 36 days from 5/22/00
to 6/26/00. " (2001)
